"I came not knowing what to expect. I left knowing something about myself I hadn't found words for before."
I signed up for Kim's Soul Map workshop the week after my mom passed. I honestly don't know what made me do it — I wasn't ready to talk to anyone, and I certainly didn't feel like making art.
But something happened when I picked up the brush. The colors just started moving and I stopped trying to control them. By the end of the session I had painted something that looked exactly like how I felt inside — wild and tender and still somehow okay.
Kim has this way of holding a room. She doesn't push. She doesn't fill silence with noise. She just lets you be where you are. That is a rare and beautiful thing.

"I carried so much going in. I left lighter. I don't fully understand how — but something in the making of it did the work."

"I was skeptical. I'm a logical, analytical person. And yet — I cried, I created, and I left feeling more myself than I had in months."
