A New Chapter, Rooted in Gratitude
Hello, I’m Kim.
Many of you know me as the owner of a little shop called Wrapped in Gratitude—a space you may have visited online or in person. It has been a few months since I last connected with the Wrapped in Gratitude family, and I wanted to take a moment to share where I’ve been and where I’m going.
Over the past several months, I’ve been tying up loose ends, catching my breath, and gently stepping into a new chapter of my work and life.
Closing a Door with Gratitude
At the end of March, I moved out of the Wrapped in Gratitude space in downtown Vicksburg. It was a bittersweet moment.
For nearly four years, I poured my heart into growing and fighting for that little shop—through some incredibly challenging seasons. During that time, I somehow found my way through my dad’s diagnosis and passing from terminal brain cancer, a full COVID shutdown, and even a long infrastructure project that removed all streets and sidewalks in front of the shop.
While those hurdles were heavy, our village is now more beautiful because of that work—and I hold deep gratitude for every part of the journey.
Turning 50 and Listening Closely
Along with turning 50 this year, I’ve experienced several life-changing events over the past three years—significant loss, deep reflection, and a quiet reckoning with what this next chapter of life is asking of me.
I found myself asking:
What do I want to carry forward?
And what is ready to transform?
Healing HeArtwork Begins
As part of this transition, I will be changing the Wrapped in Gratitude Facebook page to Healing HeArtwork.
You can also find me on Instagram at @Healing.Heartwork, and my new website is live at HealingHeartwork.com. The site will continue to grow and will soon include a small online shop and information about upcoming workshops.
Clarity in Purpose
I’ve gained a great deal of clarity around what my last 30 years of teaching, learning, and living have prepared me to offer.
My work is now more focused on creating workshops that support lowering anxiety and stress, while helping people reconnect with peace and clarity in their purpose—no matter what chapter of life they’re in.
Very soon, I’ll be launching online workshops centered on these gentle, creative processes.
Right now, I’m recording tutorial videos, designing templates, and assembling one-of-a-kind kits that can be mailed directly to you.
An Invitation
Through processing deep grief and significant change in my own life, I discovered ways to calm my anxious soul and find clarity in my purpose. I would truly love to share these practices with you.
These workshops will initially be offered online, which means you can join from anywhere in the United States and experience these calming and focusing creative sessions from your own space.
If you’re curious to see how this unfolds—or feel called to participate—I would love for you to stay alongside me on this journey.
More updates coming soon.

Healing HeArtwork for You
Take a quiet moment today to reflect on a chapter of your life that may be closing—or gently shifting.
Without judgment, ask yourself:
What am I ready to release?
What feels ready to grow?
Write it down. Sketch it. Sit with it.
Trust that clarity often arrives not in big declarations, but in small, honest moments of listening.
There is no wrong way to begin.
With love,
Kim

Visions of Wild Flowers Danced in Her Head
“I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day.” I originally created this sketch during the year of the COVID shutdown. Yet it has been symbolic in my life for many years. I’ve since fine-tuned it and now use it as a weekly reminder. It still amazes me how simply having paper...
The Light of Healing

Carrying Too Much
I used to walk about a mile to school every day starting in kindergarten. I was a “towny.” I lived in town, and a whole group of us walked to school together. I felt so grown up and independent. I loved it. It was safe—paved sidewalks the entire way—and Mr. Boise, the...
